2015 – The Enrollments Act 2014 Amendment Act

[10 April 2015] AN ACT to Amend the Enrollments Act 2014. BE IT ENACTED by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords and Burgesses in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: SHORT TITLE: This Act may be cited for all purposes as “The Enrollments Act 2014 Amendment Act 2015.” I. THE LANGUAGE TO BE AMENDED: The passage of Section 8 of the Enrollments Act 2014 which currently reads “The period of probation of a Ward in Chancery shall be of a duration no shorter than two weeks and no longer than one month, at the discretion of the Lord Chancellor who shall, in consultation with the Prime Minister, determine the duration on a case-by-case basis,” is herewith amended to read, “The period of probation of a Ward-in-Chancery shall be of a duration no shorter than one week and no longer than two weeks, at the discretion of the Lord Chancellor who shall, in consultation with the Prime Minister, determine the duration on a case-by-case basis.” II. COMMENCEMENT: This Act and all the provisions therein shall come into force upon receiving the Royal Assent, at which moment the said Enrollments Act 2014 shall be considered amended, with the said amendment in force, even prior to the alteration of the Act in the Parliament Roll.
