Sconnish Time Standardization Act 2017


[Passed 13-1. Royal Assent: 13 December 2017]

An Act to provide for the creation of a standardized time zone for the Kingdom of Scone. BE IT ENACTED by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords and Burgesses in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. SHORT TITLE

This act may be cited for all purposes as “Sconnish Time Standardization Act.”

2. CREATION OF SCONNISH STANDARD TIME

The Kingdom of Scone shall operate under “Sconnish Standard Time” for all official business. All dates and times required by statute, orders-in-council, or other instruments shall be calculated based on Sconnish Standard Time.

3. CALCULATION OF SCONNISH STANDARD TIME

A. Sconnish Standard Time shall be equivalent to the time zone where the Sovereign is resident.

B. Any changes to the calculation of Sconnish Standard Time, excepting changes due to Daylight Savings Time, shall be announced and gazetted by the Royal Court or the Home Secretary. The gazetting officer shall also announce the corresponding time in reference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

C. Calculation of Daylight Savings Time shall be governed by the time calculations of the time zone where the Sovereign is resident.

4. COMMENCEMENT

This legislation and all the provisions therein shall come into force upon receiving the Royal Assent.
