WHEREAS, George H. W. Bush was elected 41st President of the United States in 1988, and oversaw the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the Soviet Union, as well as the defense of Kuwait in the Gulf War; and
WHEREAS, George H.W. Bush through his policies and activism did much to help the people of the United States and around the world,
WHEREAS, George H.W. Bush faithfully executed the office of President of the United States and provided an example of leadership to the world,
WHEREAS, The Kingdom of Scone has a proud history of paying tribute to good leaders.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that this Parliament pays tribute to George H.W. Bush for his life and leadership and commemorates him for his hard work for the people of the United States and the world at large and honors him as we remember his life after his death.
AND FURTHER that this Kingdom honors George H.W. Bush for his hard and selfless work for the people of the United States and the world at large.
