[Passed: 9-3 , Royal Assent: 13 Dec 2018]

AN ACT to ensure the preservation of materials created for the Kingdom of Scone and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords and Burgesses in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. SHORT TITLE

This bill may be cited for all purposes as “Community Resources Use Act.”

2. COMMUNITY MAY USE CONTENT CREATED AND POSTED FOR THE KINGDOM OR ON THE KINGDOM’S VARIOUS MEDIAS

By submitting content of any kind to any Facebook group, website, blog, YouTube channel, or other medium related to the Kingdom of Scone or the Empire of the Glennains, contributors are granting the Kingdom of Scone, the Sovereign, its Government, and its designated agents a non-exclusive, permanent license to the content that such contributors have posted, as well as permission to use submitted material for activities promoting The Kingdom of Scone and permission to remove or modify such content to the extent allowed by Sconnish law. Contributors to the mediums of the Kingdom of Scone and of the Empire of the Glennains further agree not to delete such content, except as outlined by Section 3 below. Contributors additionally agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Kingdom of Scone’s citizens and web hosts against any and all claims on intellectual property, copyright infringement, technical issues, and/or any other unintended consequences arising from usage of The Kingdom of Scone’s Facebook groups, blogs, websites or other facilities. This Section shall not enjoin from contributors the right to the use of their content outside of the scope of the Sconnish and Glennish Communities.

3. PRIME MINISTER TO GRANT EXCEPTIONS

The Prime Minister may, at their discretion, order the removal of content created by an individual covered in Section 2 above upon a request made by that individual to have their content removed. The Prime Minister shall not be required to grant this request.

4. PROVISIONS OF THIS ACT SHALL APPLY RETROACTIVELY

The provisions of this act shall apply retroactively to any content whatsoever covered by Section 2 above once this act receives the Royal Assent except for the prohibition against deletion as it relates to the old Kingdom blogspot page and the old Parliament Roll page on blogspot.

5. PENALTIES FOR UNAUTHORIZED REMOVAL

Any individual who unlawfully removes content created for the Kingdom of Scone as outlined in Section 2 above shall be guilty of the offense of Misuse of Kingdom Resources and shall be subject to the penalties outlined in the Offenses and Sentences Act. In the event multiple resources are removed, the Prosecutor may charge the individual with a charge for each resource unlawfully removed.

6. COMMENCEMENT

This legislation and all the provisions therein shall come into force upon receiving the Royal Assent.
